Today is Read a Book Day.
It is unclear the origin of this named day, but it is thought to have been created around 2010.
The day is to remind us of the enjoyment of reading, and to encourage users to pick up a book whether fiction or non-fiction to expand and inspire our minds.
And of course a library is perfect in finding the kinds of books you may be looking for.
So if you have one of our SWIMS library cards, drop in, and enjoy the comfy seating areas with one of our many books, or perhaps take one on loan to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
If you do not have one of our library cards, then shame on you! You can fill in one of our registration forms and return it either to Bournemouth Hospital Library or the Learning Resource Centre, Lloyd Adams Building at Poole Hospital.
