Website of the Month: #Research Hacks

Not so much a website as a series of short animated films describing a range of useful technological tools to help academics communicate, collaborate and discover content.

The 24 videos produced by ScHAAR at the University of Sheffield can be accessed from YouTube or viewed/downloaded from iTunes U.

Although aimed at academics the content is also useful for those working within healthcare.  Each video is about a minute long and aims to explain a simple idea or technology – they don’t teach you about the tool but aim to give ideas about new ways of working.

They cover a varied range of topics including time management, Twitter, Blogging, Mendley, RSS feeds and infographics

I particularly liked video #28 about early morning productivity and am now trying to put it into practice eating frogs in the morning!
