Two new mobile learning apps

Health Education Thames Valley and Health Education Wessex have recently launched two new mobile learning apps for use on Apple and Android smartphones. Both apps are free, so why not give them a try and share information about them with colleagues.

The first app is for Neonatal Medicines Management.
It is an interactive learning tool that enables staff caring for neonates to learn, practice, and test themselves, and enhance their knowledge of medicine management. The app uses content produced by local NHS neonatal nursing, pharmaceutical and medical experts ensuring that neonatal staff are using evidence-based best practice.

The second app concerned with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
It is an easy-to-read quick reference and top tips guide. It has been developed to support everyone –  professionals, carers and family members alike, to help anyone with profound and multiple learning disabilities live a fulfilling, happy and healthy life. The app is divided into colour coded chapters, each containing top 10 tips. It provides useful references to access further information on how to care for people who need high levels of support from others with most aspects of daily living. Everyone involved in care of an individual with profound and multiple learning disabilities can now gain access to relevant information and feel confident in meeting the needs of a person they care for.
