Are your colleagues keeping up with the literature in your field – they are probably using a Library service to help them

When you are pressed for time, keeping abreast of new research in your chosen field can be challenging.  The Library have several services that can help:

LIBRARY ALERTS

We can run regular searches across databases such as Medline or British Nursing Index to identify newly published material and arrange for abstracts to be sent to your inbox on a monthly basis.

TABLE OF CONTENTS (TOCs)

Let us know your favourite scholarly publications and we can set-up regular notifications of current contents.

RSS FEEDS

Many websites, blogs and journals have a facility whereby you can receive regular notification of any changes.  RSS feeds can be managed by e-mail services or you can organise them using a service such as Netvibes or Pageflakes.

If you would like to start taking advantage of any of these services please speak to a member of Library Staff who would be happy to discuss your current awareness requirements and create a service tailored to your specific needs.
